My story

I am a tattoo artist living in Toronto, Canada with my husband Rudy and our two kitties Nayla and Turner. I grew up in a small town with my family where I learned classical piano, took ballet, art classes and enjoyed family ski/snowboarding trips in Vermont. I have an identical twin sister, Sarah, a younger brother, Billie and younger sister, Tara.

My most favourite passions are tattoo history, coffee, cats, real maple syrup, skulls, hip hop, riding my fixie, palm trees, tacos, beaches, snowboarding, flowers, sunny days, tattooing, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.

At 14, my family and I backpacked the world before settling in New Zealand for year. That trip and the experience sparked a life long desire in me to travel. I have traveled to 40 countries and love exploring new places and experiencing other cultures.

In my early years my passion for art led to painting and drawing. While attending high school in London, Ontario I was introduced to the idea of becoming a tattoo artist. While tagging along with a couple buddies to their tattoo appointments I was fascinated by the process and thought it would be a really cool job. However, grateful now I didn’t get first tattoo back then!

After graduating, I moved to Banff, Alberta. I lived in the mountains for two years working at the Banff Springs Hotel and Sunshine Village Ski Resort. At the time all I wanted to do was work and snowboard, but the thought of tattooing was still on my mind. Apart from some friends tattooing out of their apartments, there wasn’t any real tattoo apprenticeship opportunities available. However, I landed a piercing apprenticeship at the little local shop in the back of a hair salon. I did the piercing thing for awhile, though it never fulfilled my artistic aspirations.

From Banff, I spent the next few years living in Vancouver, BC, working in restaurants and traveling. I returned to Ontario in 2009 jumping at an opportunity to learn tattooing from Mark Paroyan. From 2012 to 2021, my twin sister Sarah and I owned and operated Jinks Tattoos and Coffee. We were Canada’s first tattoo/coffee hybrid shop in Toronto’s Parkdale. The shop was a welcoming space where friends and neighbours would gather, sip coffees and get tattooed.

Along with tattooing I make tattoo inspired and sometimes cheeky art into greeting cards, prints, original paintings and stickers. All products are handmade by me from my little studio. You can shop these items in my art shop or in person at the Riverside Arts Market in Toronto and at the Catnip Dispensary in Midland, Ontario.

Since closing Jinks in June 2021, I now tattoo in a private studio downtown in the St Lawrence Market neighbourhood. I also travel twice a month to the Niagara area to work at Lynyrd Skynart Tattoos in Thorold, Ontario.

I love making illustrated realism and traditional style tattoos. My favourite subjects are flowers, animals, bones, patterns and traditional tattoo motifs. Please take a look at my portfolio and browse through my instagram to see my work. I have many pre-drawn designs available to tattooed, you will find them in the highlights on instagram. I am open to custom designing you a tattoo in my style if you have a specific idea.

To make an appointment please send your request through the Book a Tattoo button.

I look forward to working with you and making your next tattoo!
